A step-by-step guide to applying a Spotify Premium Key once your Nexys order arrives, plus what to do if the key fails to activate.
After your Spotify Premium Key order arrives at Nexys, the next step is getting it applied so you can listen without ads. The good news is the process is short and needs nothing more than what you already have.
Before you start, make sure you have your key from the order email, an active Spotify account, and the Spotify app or website logged in. If you do not have a Spotify account yet, create a free one first. The key is an upgrade applied to an account, so a standard account has to exist before the key can work.
Keep the key message open or noted down while you do the steps below. You will paste the code exactly as delivered, so having it handy avoids typos that cause failed activations.
Follow these steps in order. Each one moves you closer to Premium without skipping an important setting.
Open Spotify on any device or visit the Spotify website and log in with the account you want to upgrade. Make sure this is the account you plan to keep using, because the key applies to the logged-in account only.
If you are logged into the wrong account, the key will attach there instead. Double-check the username or email shown before moving on.
Go to the Spotify redeem page for entering a code. This is the same page Spotify uses for prepaid cards and gift codes. You will see a field labeled for entering your code.
This is the step where people most often go wrong. The key must be pasted in exactly, including dashes, with no extra spaces before or after. Copy it straight from your Nexys order rather than typing it by hand.
Paste the Spotify Premium Key into the code field and press redeem or the equivalent confirm button. Spotify will process it and tell you whether the code was accepted.
If it goes through, your account status updates to Premium right away. You do not need to reinstall the app or restart your phone, though closing and reopening Spotify can make the change feel immediate.
Open your account settings in the app or on the website and look at your subscription status. It should show Premium or Premium plan active instead of Free.
Another quick check is to play a song and skip past the limit. Free accounts cap skips, while Premium lets you skip freely. Seeing unlimited skips and no ads confirms the key applied.
Sometimes a key fails on the first try, and that is not the end of the road. First, try pasting it again with no spaces or stray characters, or try the redeem page in a different browser.
If it still will not apply, check whether the code was already redeemed on another account. A key can only be used once, so if it was applied to a different Spotify profile, that account now holds the upgrade.
When nothing resolves it, contact Nexys support with your order details and the key. Refunds are considered for technical issues such as a product key that does not activate or is invalid, provided the issue could not be resolved. The store works through legitimate activation problems with you directly.
Two Spotify options exist on the Nexys page, and it helps to know which one you ordered before you redeem. The key upgrades an account you already own, while the account option delivers a separate Premium-ready account with full access.
Because accounts and keys depend on the Spotify service, sharing rules or terms from the provider could affect a key or account later on, and the provider may suspend it if enforced. Nexys can only support what is within its control.
Once you paste your Spotify Premium Key on the redeem page, Premium status shows up within seconds. Keep the order email until you confirm the upgrade appeared, in case you need it for support.
For the most cost-effective listening, check the Spotify Premium Key at Nexys, or browse the Spotify Premium Account if you would rather receive a ready account instead of upgrading your own.
